Robbie Byrd , Minister to Children
Robbie Byrd is the Minister to Children at the Valley Station campus. Robbie oversees the care of our children from birth through 5th grade. He also determines curriculum for pre-k through 5th grade.
The Boyce College student enjoys reading, sports (both playing and watching), working with children and eating. He has been at Highview more than 4 years. He began working with middle school students at the Fegenbush campus, and then felt called to children’s ministry, so he did both middle school and children for 1 year. After that year he decided the Lord was leading him to move fully into children’s ministry.
Robbie was a 7th grader when he asked Christ to be his Savior. “A friend of mine invited me to come to his church on Wednesday nights to play basketball. I had been attending for a few months when I sat down with a counselor who shared the gospel with me. That’s when I professed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized two weeks later.”
